Electrical Technology
Program Overview
The Electrical Technology program at Garden City Community College is designed to
help students launch a career in a high-demand technical field. Students gain the
knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work with complex electrical and mechanical
systems in industrial settings.
Hands-On Technical Training
Throughout the program, students learn how to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial
electrical systems. Training includes electrical circuits and controls, motor controls,
programmable logic controllers (PLCs), instrumentation, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Career-Ready Skills
Graduates are prepared with practical, job-ready skills that support entry into electrical
and industrial maintenance careers or continued advancement in the field.
