Admissions FAQ

Have questions? You've come to the right place.

GCCC accepts applications year round. Students must register before indicated deadlines or they will be required to obtain signatures from instructors and/or Department Deans to be allowed into their courses.

Applications are processed the next business day. Students will receive an email confirmation after submitting their application. Acceptance letters are typically mailed out within two weeks.

Students who do not take the ACT are required to take our complimentary Accuplacer assessment to be place into their Math, English and Reading courses. Students who are not happy with their ACT scores may also take the Accuplacer.

Test preparation materials for the ACT test can be found by visiting the ACT webpage. Click HERE for more information.

The average class size at Garden City Community College is just 16 students. Some classes might be bigger than that, but no class will have more than 30 students.
