If you've done the math, then you know a strong foundation in mathematics will help
you develop analytical and problem-solving skills that are necessary for a variety
of careers.
Math and Science Division Expert's Corner
The Associate in Science Degree in Mathematics offers students like you the courses you need for your first two years of a math degree from a four-year university. But a strong math foundation can also lend itself to studies in business, finance, communications, education, engineering, actuarial studies, and much more. Math is a powerful tool with many different applications.
Class Size & Advisement
GCCC offers basic math courses which also meet general education requirements such as College Math and Beginning Algebra. Advanced math coursework such as College Algebra, Plane Trigonometry, and Calculus are also available for math majors, engineering majors, and other interested students.
Our math classes are capped at 24 students, which means you'll get the individualized attention you need when you need it. Our math faculty have many years of teaching experience and are available in and out of the classroom for one-on-one help, advising, and career guidance.
