GCCC Board of Trustees Meeting Recap July 14, 2026
[Garden City, KS] July 15, 2026 -- The Garden City Community College Board of Trustees met for a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room at GCCC.
The Board reviewed a five-year non-academic report from the Garden City Career Connection Academy, GCCC’s adult education department. The report provided an overview of the program, highlighted key achievements, and identified opportunities for continued growth and development.
GCCC is required to notify the Finney County Clerk of its intentions regarding the Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR). The Board approved the intent to exceed the RNR. A public budget hearing is scheduled for Monday, September 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room located in the Beth Tedrow Student Center on the GCCC campus.
Additionally, the Board received updates on the GCCC Strategic Plan, including revised pillars, objectives, key performance indicators, and initiatives designed to guide the college’s future priorities over the next five-year period. The Board also received an update on the college’s redesigned website, which will launch soon.
The next regular Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Omar D. Angeles Endowment Room of the Beth Tedrow Student Center on the GCCC campus.
