Saturday Open Auditions - NOISES OFF
Garden City Community College (GCCC) Theatre will hold open auditions for the spring production of NOISES OFF on Friday, January 26, and Saturday, January 27, at 6:00 pm in the KCB Bank Auditorium inside the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building. GCCC Theatre welcomes all members of the community to audition.
Those interested in auditioning for the award-winning comedy should prepare a one-minute comedic monologue and be prepared to cold-read scenes from the script. Those with no experience or prepared material are welcome to come too.
Additionally, all technical positions, including sound board operation, costuming, set construction, and props master, are open for volunteers interested in learning the craft or expanding their resume.
Rehearsals will begin Monday, February 5, and run weekdays from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. While not all roles are required to be present for all days and times, personal schedules can be planned around, and rehearsals will not occur during the week of Spring Break. All roles are available, and NOISES OFF will be performed April 18-20 and 25-27 at 7:00 pm.
"NOISES OFF is a hugely rewarding and funny show; it's going to be a blast to rehearse and perform," says GCCC Theatre Director Dr. Joshua Kelly. "It is also a monumental challenge, which is why we have a slightly longer rehearsal schedule."
