GCCC Receives $50,000 Contribution from LiveWell Finney County for New Video Board in Quad
[Garden City, KS] August 28, 2024 -- Garden City Community College (GCCC) is excited to announce the completion of a state-of-the-art video board in the campus quad, made possible by a generous $50,000 contribution from LiveWell Finney County.
Standing at an impressive 9.5 feet tall, this new digital sign is designed to serve as a central hub for important information, benefiting students, faculty, staff, and community visitors alike. It provides real-time updates on events, announcements, and other critical information, enhancing communication and engagement across the campus.
"At LiveWell Finney County, we believe in the power of collaboration and the importance of strong community partnerships,” shared Callie Dyer, Executive Director of LiveWell Finney County. “By contributing to the installation of the new video board, we are supporting a shared vision of enhancing communication and engagement on campus. This initiative aligns with our commitment to fostering a healthier, more connected community through education and collaboration."
"We are incredibly grateful to LiveWell Finney County for their support of this important project," said Dr. Ryan Ruda, President of Garden City Community College. "This new video board is a valuable resource that will keep our campus informed and engaged and, through this partnership, will provide a platform to promote health and wellness communication to the campus.
Located prominently in the GCCC Quad outside the Saffell Library, the video board is easily accessible, ensuring everyone on campus stays informed. The installation of this new video board reflects GCCC's commitment to improving campus life and leveraging technology to create a more connected and informed community.
