GCCC Honored as Large Business of the Year by Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce
[Garden City, KS] April 23, 2024 – At the Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet and Business Awards held on April 11, 2024, Garden City Community College was honored as "Large Business of the Year."
The selection process for the Annual Business Awards involves an evaluation conducted by a panel comprising former award recipients and members of the Chamber executive board. Each nominee is assessed against a set of criteria, which includes evaluating contributions in five key areas: (1) Business and Job Growth in Finney County, (2) Business Success and Innovation, (3) Community Involvement, Activities, and Services Provided, (4) Employee Culture and Workforce Environment, and (5) Community-Based Philanthropy.
Dr. Ryan Ruda, GCCC President, expressed his gratitude for the award, stating, "This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of every member of the Garden City Community College team. Our institution consistently delivers excellence, thanks to the unwavering commitment of our employees who strive to make a positive impact on our students, campus, and community. This acknowledgment underscores the significance of our collective efforts, and we are truly grateful for the recognition."
