Activity Scholarship Agreement 2026-2027
CONDITIONS-PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
By accepting this agreement, the student acknowledges the offer of a Garden
City Community College Activity Scholarship (Grant-In-Aid) for the 2026-2027
Academic year. The Student understands and agrees that these funds are to be
used for educational related expenses at GCCC.
By accepting the award shown, the Student agrees to abide by the following
requirements:
1. Attend all classes enrolled at all times barring verifiable hardships.
2. Maintain a full-time enrollment status during each semester awarded.
3. Complete all activity requirements set forth by activity sponsor.
4. Comply with the rules and regulations of the college and cooperate fully with its
officials,
including instructors.
5. Withdrawal or dismissal from GCCC (whether voluntary or administratively) may require
full repayment of the scholarship(s) received. Subject to sponsor/coach discretion.
6. Any combination of Garden City Community College Grant-In-Aid(s), and other grants,
loans and scholarships will not exceed the federal cost of attendance.
7. “B.2. Non-Athletic Scholarships and Grants-in Aid: Institutional aid may be awarded
to
any student-athlete reported on an NJCAA Eligibility roster under the following
guidelines and not be a counter under NJCAA Sports Procedures Chart.
a. B.2.a. Aid must be available to the entire student population, AND
b. B.2.b. Aid must not be awarded based on athletic capabilities, performance, or
participation, AND
c. B.2.c. Aid must be officially recorded in and administered by the college’s office
of
financial aid and business, AND
d. B.2.d. Aid must be awarded either on the basis of need, as verified by the
college’s office of financial aid OR for outstanding academic achievement,
published in the college catalog, office of financial aid, and/or foundation
scholarship materials.”
I understand that my failure to meet the admissions requirements for the college or
failure to enroll will render this agreement null and void. I also understand that
if I do not
fully comply with the listed conditions, this award may be withdrawn, and I am
responsible for the repayment of the value of this award.
