Student Art Show 2025
Garden City Community College’s Mercer Gallery proudly announces the opening of its annual Student Art Show, Paintings, Drawings, and Ceramics!! Oh My!!, showcasing artistic talent from GCCC’s art students. The exhibition will run from May 2 through May 16, 2025, in the Mercer Gallery, located in the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building on campus.
This year’s show will feature a variety of innovative student artwork exploring technical and conceptual themes. The works range from detailed naturalistic studies to abstracted and creative works involving diverse media.
The community is welcome to visit the free exhibition during regular gallery hours: Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with extended hours on Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
A closing reception will take place on Friday, May 16, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Guests will have the chance to meet the student artists, explore their work, and celebrate their creative achievements.
Students enrolled in the ARTS-226 Professional Arts Practices 2 capstone course have planned, organized, and installed this exhibition as part of their curriculum.
