Registration Now Open for Exploration Day 2023 at GCCC
[Garden City, KS] September 15, 2023 -- Garden City Community College will host its annual Exploration Day on Wednesday, November 8th. Area high school juniors and seniors are invited to the GCCC campus to explore various fields of study and discover the opportunities that GCCC provides.
Registration is now open, and high school students can register by contacting their school counselor or visiting https://www.gcccks.edu/exploration_day_2023.aspx. Seniors who register by Friday, October 20th will be entered into a scholarship drawing. The final registration deadline is Wednesday, October 25th.
When registering, students will select which program sessions they would like to attend. Student clubs and organizations will be available for students to visit with and receive information from during lunch.
The schedule for the day includes check-in from 8:30-9:00 AM (in the Dennis Perryman Athletic Complex), a welcome session to introduce the college, four breakout sessions for students to explore areas of study (two 40-minute sessions and two 20-minute sessions), free lunch and club fair, and a closing session concluding at 1:30 PM. During the lunch, three (3) $1,000 scholarships and six (6) $500 scholarships will be given out.
