*Students must submit a new scholarship application every year to be eligible for special scholarships (please see Scholarship Application). Students must also email ruby.solorzano@gcccks.edu indicating which special scholarship(s) they are interested in applying for.

Alta Brown Elementary School/Wayne Stagaard Memorial 

Available to: Former Alta Brown student, attended 3 years, and 3.0 GPA

Alumni Scholarship

Available to: Applicant's parent must have completed a credential (certificate or degree) from Garden City Community College; 2.0 GPA. Applicant must send an email  to ruby.solorzano@gcccks.edu with parent's legal name and indicating that they are applying for this scholarship.

Ardis and Luther Fry Endowed Scholarship (Fry Eye Associates)

Available to: Employees of the Fry Eye Associates and the spouses, children and grandchildren of employees of Fry Eye Associates, full or part time (at least 6 credit hours) with a 2.5 GPA

Available to: Applicant must be a student majoring in Criminal Justice & currently enrolled in Criminal Justice classes. Applicant must provide a personal statement on what the student has done to be prepared for the CJ program & further describe their future goals. Statements can be emailed to ruby.solorzano@gcccks.edu.

Amount: Full Tuition and Full FeesApply to: GCCC Scholarship office with a two page essay entitled "My Co-Op"The applicant's essay is to address the following questions;

      1. Tell us about yourself and your connection to the Garden City Co-op
      2. One of the cooperative principles is "Concern for the community".  If awarded this scholarship, what are you going to do to emulate our cooperative values and pay it forward in your community?
