What is Educational Talent Search?
Educational Talent Search is a free program sponsored by Garden City Community College through a U.S. Department of Education grant. The program is designed to encourage participants to remain in school, earn their high school diplomas and pursue post-secondary education. Talent Search at GCCC is open to eligible Finney County residents at the 6th-12th grade levels, including students of USD 457.

Eligibility Requirements
Academic Success - the desire to work hard to achieve good grades
First Generation - neither parent has a four-year college degree
Taxable Income - federal TRIO guidelines
Post - Secondary Education - the desire to attend college or technical school
Age - At least 11 years of age or older
(Or - An adult who is interested in going back to college
An adult who is interested in receiving a GED)
Grade - Have completed the 5th grade and entered 6th grade
