GCCC Endowment Association Raises Over $20,000 During 46th Annual Phonathon
[Garden City, KS] October 15, 2025 -- Thanks to the efforts of Garden City Community College (GCCC) students and staff, more than $20,000 in donations were pledged to the GCCC Endowment Association during the 46th Annual Phonathon.
Held from September 29 through October 3, 2025, the annual fundraising campaign brought together student teams and departments who made calls and collected pledges throughout the week. The following groups participated in this year’s event: the Meats Judging Team, Rodeo Team, Department of Public Safety, HALO, Cosmetology Department, Nursing Department, and GCCC Endowment Association Board Members and Presidential Ambassadors.
“The Phonathon is one of our most meaningful traditions because it connects our students directly with alumni and community members who believe in their success,” said Scott Kedrowski, Dean of Advancement and Alumni Relations. “These funds directly support scholarships that open doors and remove barriers for our students. We are deeply grateful to everyone who gave and to those who volunteered their time to make this event possible.”
The GCCC Endowment Association also extended its appreciation to United Wireless, which once again donated the phones and airtime used throughout the Phonathon.
