Garden City Community College Sees 5% Enrollment Increase for Fall 2021

[Garden City, KS] October 14, 2021 -- Garden City Community College reports a 5% increase in enrollment for headcount the Fall 2021 semester.  The total student headcount for Fall 2021 was 2,014 students, up from 1,918 students in both Fall 2020 and Fall 2019.  

The total number of credit hours (cr/hrs) for Fall 2021 reached 21,458, which is a 0.92% increase from 21,262 cr/hrs in Fall 2020 and a 2.01% increase from 21,034 cr/hrs in Fall 2019. 

"This increase in enrollment is directly attributable to each and every one of our GCCC employees staying focused on service to students and community.  We are excited and very proud of these numbers as they reflect our continued focus being students," Dr. Ruda, GCCC President stated. 

Additionally, 75.8% of GCCC students were from counties in Kansas, 20.8% from out-of-state, and 3.4% being international in the Fall 2021 semester.
