Garden City Community College Nursing Programs Achieve 100% NCLEX Pass Rate
[Garden City, KS] May 5, 2025 – Garden City Community College (GCCC) is proud to announce that all students in its Practical Nursing (PN) and Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) programs from the class of 2024 have achieved an outstanding 100% pass rate on the NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination).
GCCC’s PN and ADN programs achieved pass rates above the national average from January 1 to December 31, 2024. The college’s state-of-the-art simulation lab and strong clinical partnerships with local healthcare providers offer students valuable hands-on experience, preparing them for success on the NCLEX exams and in their nursing careers.
“This is an incredible achievement for our students, and we couldn't be prouder of their hard work and dedication,” said Shellie Emahizer, Director of Nursing at GCCC. “A 100% pass rate speaks to the commitment of our faculty and staff to provide top-notch education and support to our nursing students. Without their dedication, this would not have been possible.”
The success of GCCC’s nursing students is supported by an experienced faculty team, many of whom hold advanced degrees and have years of practical experience in clinical settings. This ensures that students receive not only theoretical knowledge but also hands-on skills from professionals in the field.
Garden City Community College offers both Practical Nursing (LPN) and Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN-RN) programs. The GCCC Nursing Program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and both the ADN and LPN programs are approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN). Graduates of the ADN program have the option to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) either on campus or online, thanks to GCCC’s university partnerships.
