Broncbuster Invitational: College Forensics Tournament
Garden City Community College (GCCC) is pleased to announce the inaugural Broncbuster Invitational: College Forensics Tournament, set for Saturday, February 21, 2026. This marks the first time GCCC will host a collegiate forensics event of this scale, welcoming teams from across the region for a day of academic competition at GCCC.
The Broncbuster Invitational aims to provide a high-quality, enriching experience for participants while expanding competitive opportunities for college teams. Students will compete in categories such as informative and persuasive speaking, dramatic and humorous interpretation, poetry, prose, debate, and more.
“We’re thrilled to bring a college forensics tournament to the GCCC campus for the very first time,” said Savannah Sanburg, Head Coach of the GCCC Speech & Debate Team, Phi Rho Pi. “The Broncbuster Invitational will give students a supportive, competitive space to showcase their talent and sharpen the communication and analytical skills that set them up for success in every field.”
The event will feature multiple competition rounds, concluding with an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding individual and team achievements. GCCC faculty, staff, and community volunteers will play a key role in supporting and judging events.
Colleges wishing to submit entries should contact Savannah Sanburg at savannah.sanburg@gcccks.edu or Helen Weeks at helen.weeks@gcccks.edu for Speech Wire registration information or questions. The entry deadline is February 13, 2026, at 3 p.m.
