Earning an Associate Degree in Science with an emphasis in pre-medicine or other pre-health occupation is the smart start to working your way to other graduate and professional programs: medical school (pre-medicine), pharmacy school (pre-pharmacy), chiropractic school (pre-chiropractic), optometry school (pre-optometry), and more.

GCCC is host to a human cadaver lab operated by our expert faculty, where you can get hands on with learning about the body in our human dissection class. Along with anatomy and physiology, you'll also be taking classes in chemistry, biology, mathematics, and other general education classes, which will prepare you for coursework at a four-year university and beyond. 

Class Size 

Most science classes cap at 24 students, which means you'll get individualized attention in an up-close and personal lab or classroom. Our science faculty have decades of teaching experience and can guide and assist as you prepare for entry to a transfer university to earn your four-year degree.


Most professional schools such as medical and pharmacy schools base their admissions decisions on a variety of items such as grade point average, test scores, interviews, personal references, and professional experience.
