Prospective Students

Steps 1 & 2 must be completed by all student borrowers every year.
Apply for a Loan
1. Stafford Loan entrance counseling This must be completed by the STUDENT before the loan will be processed. This step is not required for the PARENT plus loan. Click here
2. All Borrowers Must Print & Complete Loan Acceptance Form:

3. Master Promissory Note
If you've never completed a federal master promissory note at GCCC or are changing to a new lender, you must complete a Master Promissory Note with one of the lenders provided or any lender of your choice. You are not required to choose one of these lenders.
If you have already completed a Master Promissory Note for the lender listed on your acceptance form. STOP here. Lenders are listed in alphabetical order for convenience only. Garden City Community College does not recommend one lender over another.
