The committee initiated discussion about GCCC’s policies relating to the Federal Family Education Loan Program . The federal government will be raising federal loan limits for freshman and sophomore students.

The committee began reviewing GCCC’s loan policy on a item-by-item basis. It was determined that we are not ready to make any recommendations at this time but will instead continue studying the issues. A strong desire is for more input from committee members and for consistent attendance at committee meetings by all members.

 

The SEM Committee will next meet on March 8. Committee members were encouraged to spend individual time studying our printed policies related to “Financial Aid and Scholarships” as well as those relating to the “Federal Family Education Loan Program.”
