Faculty Senate Meeting Minutes

Members Present: Barb Larson, Mary Pendergraft, John Schafer, Winsom Lamb, Kay Davis

 

Members absent: Leslie Foster, Doris Meng, Kathy Isaacs

 

• Review of Faculty Senate By-laws
• Cabinet meeting must be attended by faculty senate president
• Cabinet meetings need to be set for the afternoons, so that faculty schedules will be more flexible
• SGA sponsor is listed as a person who needs to attend faculty senate meetings – why?
• Barb Larson will talk to Dr. Ballantyne to see about rescheduling cabinet meetings to afternoon sessions

 

• Web Page for Faculty Senate
• Tiffany Heit has been contacted and will set up a link with a hot button for the faculty senate
• Kay Davis and Barb Larson will send needed information to her to get posted

 

• IT committee will meet October 2, 2007 for the second meeting
• Axio committee to Manhattan
• Positive report about trip
• Still questions about why this would be better than Blackboard
