Below is a cost matrix that lists the tuition and dorm cost by semester for the Ag Tech program. The tool cost is an approximate figure that will vary. The cost of the tools will depend on the vendor and how many tools the student purchases over the recommended tool list.

 

 

 

The student is responsible for all program costs. However, financial assistance is available from many sources and do not forget the paid Internships that are part of the program.

NOTES: The amount calculated for the Tools is entirely dependent on the student's choice of tools. This amount is just an estimate for budgeting purposes. There are two Internships during this program that will generate approximately $4,600 in income for our Deere TECH students.

TOOLS AND VENDORS

We recommend that you choose a supplier that sells quality tools with a good warranty and a quick and reliable tool replacement system. John Deere, Snap-On, MAC and NAPA have offered our students significant discounts on selected tools once they enter the Ag Tech program. Your dealer can order tools from John Deere that fulfill the tool requirements for our program.

It is recommended that you order your tools at least 8 weeks before classes start so that you can avoid the delayed shipments and shortages that come with August and later ordering periods. Please contact us if you have questions concerning the people to contact for the different tool vendors.
