ALLIED HEALTH OPPORTUNITIES AT GCCC
Opportunity and a lifetime of learning describe today's health careers. Health care is one of the fastest growing fields in the United States and with more than 200 health careers to choose from, the possibilities are endless.

Whether you are seeking short-term training or a four-year degree program, the GCCC Allied Health Department is here to help you meet your health career educational goals. Programs offered are designed to improve skills, increase knowledge, and obtain and/or maintain licensure/certification.

 

Specific categories of offerings are as follows:

  • Short-term Career Training programs are offered to certify:
  • Nurse Aides
  • Medication Aides
  • Home Health Aides
  • Rehabilitative Aides
  • Activity Directors
  • Social Service Designees
  • Emergency Medical Technicians
  • Paramedics

Continuing Education programs are offered for health care professionals to maintain their licensure/certification.
Staff Development programs are offered for health care facility employees, i.e. inservices, annual mandatory education, etc.
Workforce Skills Assessment and Training is available to health care facilities for assistance in selection, training and retraining of employees.

Customized Education programs are offered based on the health care facility's' individual needs.
