GCCC Campus Observing Thanksgiving Break Nov. 19 - 23
Garden City Community College will close Nov. 19-23 for Thanksgiving Break.
Most campus offices and facilities will be shut down during the period, and no classes will take place. The break also applies to the GCCC Adult Learning Center, GCCC Access and Opportunity Center, Mercer Gallery, Saffell Library and the Mary Jo Williams Comprehensive Learning Center. In addition, the library will suspend its normal Sunday evening hours on Nov. 18 and 25.
There will be limited hours, however, at the GCCC Aerobic Super Circuit in the Dennis Perryman Athletic Complex. The circuit will operate 7:45-10 a.m. and 4-7 p.m. Nov. 19, 20 and 21.
Regular class schedules and operational hours are scheduled to resume Nov. 26, when spring semester enrollment will open to currently-registered students. Public enrollment will open Dec. 3. Normal hours at the Student and Community Services Center are 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Fridays. Numbers to call for information are 620-276-7611 and 620-276-9608.
This is the first year the GCCC campus will be closed the full week of Thanksgiving. In past years, Thanksgiving break included a three-day shutdown, following an earlier two-day Fall Break for students and faculty. Both breaks are now combined.
