GCCC 2014 Choral Pops concert coming May 15


The Garden City Community College Choral Music Program will conclude the 2013-2014 performance year with a public concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15 in the auditorium of the Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building. The evening of entertainment will include the GCCC Concert Choir and the select College Singers ensemble. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

The show will feature a collection of tunes from well-known Disney productions, including “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” used in “The Lion King,” and “He Lives in You” from “The Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.” There also will be arrangements from the Fox Television series “Glee,” including the Coldplay tune, “Fix You,” “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’” by Michael Jackson, and “Telephone” by Lady Gaga, as well as a medley of songs from the Beatles.
