Work full-time year-round in a dynamic position at a respected, comprehensive community college in southwest Kansas, leading and establishing collaborative partnerships with business and industry, community-based organizations, public and private agencies and government entities in workforce development and training projects.
Position also involves oversight for all technical programs, including budgets, faculty and staff as part of the team reporting to the vice president of instructional services; serving as liaison to employers and workforce agencies in career development and workforce preparedness; overseeing state and federal workforce initiatives and grants; related responsibilities. Technical programs range from Automotive Technology, Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration and Welding to John Deere Technology, Animal Science-Agriculture, Food Safety and others, as well as an emerging new program in Oil Technology.
Requires three years of successful workforce development experience or college-level instruction; college hours required; Associate’s degree preferred; demonstrated success in establishing partnerships and collaboration with business, industry and community-based organizations; ability to lead and manage through personal integrity and inclusive style, with emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with faculty; ability to communicate effectively in speaking and writing; related requirements.
