SEASONAL GROUNDSKEEPER

QUALIFICATIONS:           High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must possess ability to read labels and correctly follow oral and written instructions in conduct of the job. Must be able to operate mechanical equipment and to perform manual tasks requiring moderate physical strength. Must demonstrate ability to establish and maintain good working relations with supervisors and fellow workers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and sit for long periods; speak and hear clearly in person and over the phone; lift up to 75 pounds; operate college vehicles; manipulate/operate equipment; transport self and equipment throughout campus; maintain physical mobility, alertness, and composure.

 

SCOPE OF JOB:                To maintain the proper appearance of the college grounds. Responsible for the proper care and usage of all materials, services, and goods related to the grounds operation of the college. Must be able to work without direct supervision.

 

ASSIGNMENT:                  Reports to the grounds supervisor, and through the supervisor to the Director of Physical Plant, the Dean of Administrative Services and the College President. Position ends Oct. 31, 2008.

 

SALARY:                           Based on qualifications and experience.
