ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER

QUALIFICATIONS: NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, Kansas State Licensure or eligible, CPR/First Aid Certification, BachelorÕs degree or MasterÕs degree in Athletic Training or related field preferred. Previous collegiate athletic training experience desired.
SCOPE OF JOB: The Assistant Athletic Trainer will assist the Head Athletic Trainer in all aspects of student athlete healthcare and the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Training program at Garden City Community College. Responsibilities include game and practice coverage, team travel, as well as evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Additional duties include recruiting and supervising student workers.
ASSIGNMENT: Reports to the Head Athletic Trainer to the Athletic Director through the AD to the college President.
SALARY: Based on qualifications and experience. Includes full college fringe benefit package. Position is competitive with similar position within the Jayhawk Conference.

SICK LEAVE: 10 days per year accrues to 60 days total.
RETIREMENT: Employee is covered by the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System
(KPERS). Employee contributes 4% of gross.

salary group term life insurance provided by KPERS.
