Mark Leslie enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Broncbuster Men’s basketball program. Prior to joining the Broncbusters, Leslie served as the Director of International Scouting for Premier Sports International. While with PSI, Leslie worked alongside former NBA legend Jerome Kersey in developing professional basketball players. Leslie worked in the collegiate ranks for 7 years that include stints at Treasure Valley Community College, Weber State University and his alma mater the University of Idaho. While at Treasure Valley, Leslie coached All-American Brandon Burney, who led the NJCAA in scoring. Treasure Valley would also post victories over junior college powerhouse College of Southern Idaho and North Idaho. While at Weber State, Leslie would tutor current New Jerseys Nets point Guard Eddie Gill.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Leslie had a stellar prep career at Custer HS. In 1990, Leslie led the city in scoring and was selected as 1st team All-City and played in the prestigious Wisconsin All-Star game. Leslie would later star at McCook Community College, where he was chosen as the Nebraska Region MVP and led his team to a Conference Championship. Leslie finished his playing career at the University of Idaho, where he was voted First Team All-Big Sky and was the captain of the 1995 Vandal squad. Leslie earned his Bachelor’s degree from Idaho in 1998.
Leslie is married to the former Jamilla Carter of Missoula MT. They have 3 beautiful children, N’ydea (14) Malia (9) Mark Jr (8).
