The Academy's Purpose
The GCCC
music faculty and administration recognize a need for
private
instruction
on musical instruments and in voice for area youth and
adults.
Because the performing arts have been identified as a
major contributor to the development of essential skills,
the Academy is designed to provide access to music instruction
in one central location.

on All Instruments
and now Vocal Instruction
is available too, as well as First Steps for
Music, a music introduction course for toddlers
and small children
- Private Lessons
• 12 Half Hour Lessons - $150
• 10 Half Hour Lessons - $125
- Class Lessons
• 12 Forty-five Minute Lessons - $100
• 10 Forty-five Minute Lessons - $85
- Kindermusik - a class for children from birth through seven years,
up to twelve students per class

- Beginning Violin - fourth grade and above, in small classes, includes supplementary theory class
- Beginning Piano for Adults - up to nine students per class
- String and Piano Chamber Music - for small groups

Faculty
Private lessons will be taught by music instructors from
GCCC, area public schools and select musicians from
throughout Southwest Kansas.

Where is the Academy?
The music studios and classrooms at the Pauline Joyce
Fine Arts Building on the GCCC campus have been made
available to music teachers at all levels of instruction.
Private lessons and ensemble preparation will be conducted
throughout the facility.
The Pauline Joyce Fine Arts Building is located near
the north side of the GCCC campus.
