LEARNER SUCCESS:

 

1. Training and crosstraining between AD’s Secretary, workstudies and building secretary.

 

STRENGTHENING COLLEGE PROCESSES:

 

1. Mailboxes, photocopy machine, shredder (see “Supporting Documentation”).

 

SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY:

 

1. Improve building recognition with 2 new name of building signs visible from streets
2. Improve curb appeal of building with staff/student patio and landscaping southeast corner of building (see “Supporting Documentation”)

 

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION FOR 2004 GOALS

 

• Prioritized list of new personnel, expanded positions, or position transfers with justification and budget. None for Athletic/HPER Secretaries

 

• Prioritized equipment requests with justification and budget:

 

Mailboxes with individual locked doors into the hallway and open in the work center. In the work center, under the mailboxes would be shelves for easy access to paper supplies, office supplies, forms, envelopes and miscellaneous. The coaching staff does not have 8-5 office hours and they need access to their mailboxes when the work center is closed.

Cost: $8,000.00

 

Photocopy machine for the workroom. Though we use the copy center for over 10 copies, when you need an official copy to send off campus it would be nice to have a clean/clear copy. The machine we currently have makes copies off center and definitely not clean/clear. Southwest Office has replaced all the parts that can be replaced and has kept it running. Because of its age and strain on the motor it can not be energy efficient.

Replacement cost: approximately $5000.00

 

Paper shredder would be an asset for this building because of the emphasis placed on privacy of documents. At this time, documents are stored in boxes or file cabinets using up vital space as it can not be thrown in the trash.

Cost: approximately $300.00

 

 

 

Capital Improvements:

 

·      Move “Physical Education” sign on south side of the building to above the south entrance doors and add South Entrance. The trees have grown and hid the sign (where it is currently) from the street.

·      Put marqee-type sign over the front doors of the main entrance “Physical Education Building Main Entrance”.

·      Concrete pad with iron bench(es) and landscaping outside back southeast exit doors. This area is hard for the sprinklers to reach and hard for the mowers consequently just dirt and weeds. This would increase the curb appeal from Campus Drive and from the circle drive around the campus giving the community pride in their investment and staff pride in their workplace. This would cut back in the mow time for maintenance and water usage on dirt and weeds.
