Accomplishments 2003-2004
Communication
Faculty Š Established direct and cooperative relationships with instructors and advisors involved with academics here at the college. Priorities were focused on student-athlete attendance and effort within the classroom, as well as a positive attitude to succeed. Staff was also responsible and succeeded in registering and advising students for the fall and spring semesters of this school year within the framework established by the advising office.
Coaches Š Established positive relationships with the other coaches on staff here at the college and worked effectively with football, volleyball, girls basketball, and baseball in conjunction with the gym and weight room usage schedule.
Community Š Established a positive relationship with local community and media. Hosted Buster Buddy Day for the young kids, and have participated in a weekly radio show hosted by AM 1240 called Ņ Jock TalkÓ which Coach Swanson appears every Monday night during the season.
Responsive to Community and Students
The Broncbuster menÕs basketball team and coaching staff will host their second annual Buster Buddy day on Feb.7, 2004 and their first under Coach Swanson. The day will focus on skill improvement for the game of basketball as well as an interactive session with the coaches and players demonstrating with the campers.
Faculty and Staff Development
Broncbuster Head Coach Ryan Swanson was one of the featured speakers at the Southwest Kansas Coaches Clinic held at Holcomb High School in November of 2003. Coach Swanson and his staff were also featured at Jerry MullenÕs exposure camp held in July in Tulsa, OK.
Learner Success
Continue to work with the college and advising staff on enrollment, graduation, and schedule concerns. The staff also implemented a mandatory study hall for all athletes, 4 days a week for a total of 4 hours supervised study time. The staff also established a positive and working relationship with the Tutoring Center to make sure student-athletes reaching their maximum potentional.

Service to the Community
The basketball program will continue to have itÕs annual Buster Buddies Day and will take part in other classroom programs through local grade and middle schools. The basketball program also plans to establish a fall basketball league with surrounding high schools.
