CHEER AND DANCE GOALS 2004-2005

 

 

Learner Success

• Receive more study time with the teams so they can work on their grades.
• Teach the students how important it is to study and keep up their grades.
• Work on the importance of class attendance.
• Continuing to improve our technique, strength and conditioning.
• Increase the ability of the teams with recruiting dancers and cheer teams with experience in the past.

 

Strengthening College Process

• Building a bigger and better dance and cheer team.
• Work on students to a 100% graduation rate.
• Build enrollment

 

Service to the Community

• Help the community with projects.
• Volunteer to help with big sisters, big brothers.
• Volunteer our time more to the after school projects.

*Prioritized list of new personnel, expanded positions, or position transfers with justification and budget

• Scholarship or work-study student to help in the office.
• Scholarship a student to help with sound at all games.

 

*Prioritized equipment requests with justification and budget

• New CD Player with CD Burner - $250.00
• Printer for computer - $189.00
• Budget more for decorations at homecoming, games, hallways, and etc - $500.00 to $600.00

 

*Prioritized list of new projects with justification and budget

• Attend a Coaches National Convention in May 2004 (Dance and Cheer Convention NCA-NDA) (One Week Convention) $1000.00
• More money for recruiting in Cheer and Dance $2500.00 for both Cheer and Dance.
• Larger office????

ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2003-2004

 

Learner Success

• Better attendance in classes
• Improve of the cheer and dance teams from years past
• Improved on strength and conditioning of the cheer and dance teams
• The dance and cheer teams worked well together
• The teams helped out all of the coaches if needed
• We ordered new uniforms for cheer and dance

 

Communication

• The teams learned to communicate with the entire staff in the HPER building
• The teams were more friendly to the students and staff
• The team learned to communicate among themselves as a team and not being separate from each other

 

Responsive to Community and Students

• Participated in many community service projects
• The community and students have complimented us on our improvements this year

 

Faculty and Staff Development

• Being able to have the Cheer and Dance team available for any project that needed our help no matter what building it was located in.
• Worked with the staff on the sound equipment-to make it available to anyone on the campus if they are in need of it.
