Coach Petrovic comes to Garden City to take the helm as head volleyball coach.
Coach Petrovic comes to GCCC from University of Alabama-Birmingham where he served as co-interim head coach in the 2005 season.Prior to working at UAB, he was an assistant
coach at Northwood University in Midland, Mich.,
from 2001-04. While at Northwood, he handled recruiting
duties, prepared weight-training and conditioning
programs and acted as camp director.Petrovic began his coaching career in 1993 with the prestigious Red Star volleyball club team in Serbia and
Montenegro. Petrovic remained with the Red Star club
team through the 2000 season. During that time, he was
also the director of the Banjica Volleyball Club.Petrovic also served as head coach of AAU volleyball
clubs in the Bay City, Mich., area from 2001-02 following
a stint in Chicago on the coaching staff of the Dragons
Volleyball Club from 2000-01.
Petrovic was born and raised in Belgrade, Yugoslavia
and completed his undergraduate degree in physical
education at the University of Belgrade in 1997
