Style of Play

Depending upon personnel and opposition, the coaching staff decides on tactics that they feel will give them the best chance to win. Ideally though, the teams will feature a quick, interpassing, attacking game. The teams would use constructive and creative play in the attacking half of the field to generate goal-scoring opportunities, including extensive positional interchange. Players are trained to make that one pass that will shred a defense. The teams would be offensive minded and look to go forward in mass. Regardless individual creativity is encouraged, as high offensive pressure in the final third of the field has started to become a trademark of GCCC Soccer. Once the ball is lost on defense, immediate chase, numbers behind the ball and team compactness will always be keys to keeping opponents off the scoreboard.

The game of soccer has become firmly entrenched in the U.S., and GCCC has committed to furthering its growth by playing beautiful, attacking soccer while maintaining the high standards of spirit and integrity which are intrinsic to the game.
