WINFIELD , KS NATIVE SIGNS WITH BUSTERS

The Buster Soccer Program recently signed what they feel could be one of the most overlooked players in the state in in-state recruit Zach Bowling, a 6'1 180 lb back out of Winfield, KS.

“Quite honestly if it wasn't for current Winfield High School alum and current Buster Matt Gill, we never would have taken a look at Zach,” Head Soccer Coach Jeff Huffman said. “Zach does not play club soccer and was hurt for a majority of his senior season. Regardless, Matt gave a strong recommendation to us- a recommendation that proved to be accurate.”

Zach was voted as a Second Team Class 5A All Southwest Kansas player his senior season. He also was voted a Second Team AVCTL Division 2 conference player both his Junior and Senior seasons.

Assistant Coach Steve Gorton added, “The coaching staff feels we have technical players in every position. We were looking to strengthen our defensive depth and we found that with Zach. Zach is really going to flourish as a player over the course of the next two years. I feel Zach has the physical stature and ability to become a good four year school player after his two years are up.”
