Assistant Coach Matt Parker is in his second year with the Broncbuster coaching staff. Matt will coach infielders and will assist Head Coach Chris Finnegan with the hitters.

Prior to coming to Garden City, Parker spent a year at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. During the summers of 2006 and 2007, Coach Parker was an assistant for the Chillicothe Mudcats of the MINK league. In his first summer with the Mudcats, they won the MINK league and qualified for the NBC World Series in Wichita, KS.

Coach Parker spent his collegiate career at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, where he was named All-Conference. Currently, Coach Parker holds the season and career stolen base and hit-by-pitch records.

Parker graduated from Lyon College with a degree in Business Administration. He also holds a Masters’ degree in Sports Administration from Henderson State University.

Matt is native of Searcy, Arkansas, and attended Searcy High School. He and his wife, Lindsey, live in Garden City.
