Dan
Evans steps into the Head Athletic Trainer role at Garden City Community
College after being here for three years as the assistant.
Evans is a native of Kiowa, Kansas and graduated from South Barber
High School in 1997. He continued his education at
Fort Hays State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science
in Physical Education with an emphasis in athletic training and
a Bachelor of Science in General Studies. This past fall, Evans
completed his Masters of Liberal Studies in Health Sciences.
While
in college, Evans spent a summer internship with South East Kansas
Orthopedics and assisted with game coverage with the Wichita Warlords
(Indoor Arena Football Team).
Before
coming to GCCC, Evans worked as an outreach Athletic Trainer for
High Plains Sports Medicine in Hays, Kansas.
In
his spare time, Evans enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenni,
as well as outdoor activities, music and travel.
